The Route
• Winds its way through the dramatic and rugged Richtersveld mountains
• Begins approximately 16km downstream of the Vioolsdrif/Noordower border post
• Is a 4-day trip from our base camp to Aussenkehr (65 km) or Grootpenseiland
(88 km) depending on the water level
• Consists of 5 nights on the river banks, of which the first and last are in our base camp
• Alternate length trips are also available (day trips to 6-day Fish River Mouth trips)

• 2-seater Indian Mohawk fibreglass canoe
• Four 25-litre buckets per canoe
• One 48-litre cooler box with ice per canoe
• Life jacket and paddle
Catering
• All meals from dinner on night of arrival until breakfast on day of departure are included
• Coffee and tea supplied, soft and hard drinks at own cost
Border Post Requirements
• Passports essential for Non-Namibians
• Temporary passports can be obtained in the case of last minute bookings
• Application for South African passports must be made 3 months in advance
• Those travelling on non-South African passports must contact Namibia Tourism at
