Accommodation
We are not only about rafting and canoeing! We have our very own riverside camp where visitors will stay and enjoy the beauty of this scenery first-hand. This camp is situated on the Northern banks of the river and is ideal for an overnight stop. Depending on the package you choose, your group will be camping in this base camp on the first or last night of your trip.
The rest of the trip will be spent sleeping amongst nature on the banks of the Orange River. You are welcome to sleep within your tent or alongside the fire – whichever your inner adventurer prefers!
Expert Guides
Our expert guides have years of experience in guiding visitors through the Orange River. We guided over 200 trips in the Richtersveld section. The extensive knowledge we have gained in this area has been passed down throughout our team to ensure that you are guaranteed the best experience in the area.
Equipment
As part of our all-inclusive rates, Amanzi Trails provides all the necessary equipment you will require for your Orange River rafting/canoeing experience. This includes a 2-person Indian mohawk fibreglass canoe or an inflatable raft, which both ensure the highest safety throughout. Furthermore, we provide 4 x 25-litre buckets, 2 x 50-litre dry bags and one cooler box with ice per raft/person. Each individual will also receive a life jacket and paddle for the trip.
Transport
Our team offers transport for your entire group from the end-point of your rafting trip back to the base camp. The vehicle you arrive in can be safely parked at our thatch and reed camping site.
Catering
We strive to create an experience of relaxation throughout your trip, which includes full catering! As part of your package, you will receive three meals per day throughout the trip, from dinner on the night of your arrival to breakfast on the day of your departure. Our meals are delicious and homemade with love! All dietary requirements can be accommodated, provided our team is informed beforehand. Drinks and snacks are excluded.
Permits
Our Orange River rafting packages will ensure that you, and everyone in your group, are equipped with any necessary nature park permits needed to enter the areas we raft through. We can also provide experienced advice on meeting border post requirements for non-Namibians.
